Lead Advocacy Professional
Adam is the Lead Advocacy Professional at Hillel! He is a grandson of Holocaust survivors and son of Russian immigrants to Israel, where he was born. His family soon immigrated to Canada, and he grew up in Calgary, before moving to Vancouver (the boonies of Richmond) in 2005. He graduated with a Bachelor of Political Science from UBC, where he focused on the history of Middle Eastern politics, decolonization theory and international development. He’s fluent in English, French, and Russian (and is Kitah Aleph in Hebrew!). He loves talking about all things Israel, especially sharing Israeli recipes! In his spare time, Adam enjoys blundering mid-game in chess, photography (just ask him about his VSCO), and searching out new places to eat and hike in and around the city (anywhere but the Old Spaghetti Factory).
