AXIS: Powered by Jewish Federation
Axis is a network of Jews in their 20s and 30s building a vibrant young Jewish community in Metro Vancouver. We are the hub that connects you to all that’s happening around town and your platform to create events relevant to you- from beach BBQs to volunteer projects to leadership programs and travel experiences.
The Kollel is built on a foundation of openness and non-judgment and welcomes individuals of all Jewish affiliations. The Kollel provides top-quality Jewish education, programs, and events founded on respect, culture and inclusion that are accessible and relevant to modern life. Our monthly social events – whether they are Pub Nights, Holiday Celebrations or Hiking Clubs, is a great place for networking, meeting a significant other, and for newcomers to integrate into the community. Our initiatives have brought together over 65 couples together who eventually married!
Congregation Beth Israel
Congregation Beth Israel, member of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, is dedicated to the strengthening of all aspects of Jewish life, including worship and Torah study, religious, educational and social activities for all ages, and the observance of life cycle events.
Congregation Har El
Congregation Har El in West Vancouver is committed to fostering Jewish identity, culture, education and values to the surrounding community. Har El desires to be a cohesive community that shares Jewish worship and life cycle events and a wide variety of cultural and social activities for young adults.
Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver
The Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver (JCCGV) offers exceptional cultural, educational, recreational and social programs and services. It is the home of various leading Jewish organizations, including the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver. Over generations, thousands of members, volunteers and donors have made the JCCGV what it is today. The JCCGV is a gathering place that reflects and accommodates the diverse needs of Vancouver-area Jews.
Jewish Family Service Agency (JFSA)
For 75 years, Jewish Family Service Agency (JFSA) has been providing opportunities to enhance the quality of life for individuals and families. JFSA is a social service organization that offers a continuum of services for individuals and families at all ages and stages of life in the Jewish and wider community.
JNF Young Professionals Network of BC
The JNF Young Professionals Network of BC (YPN) is a dynamic new group that aims to provide opportunities for young professionals within Greater Vancouver’s Jewish community to connect with one another in ways that will advance each individual’s interests, while simultaneously advancing the local Jewish community and the JNF.
Moishe House, a pluralistic, international organization, provides meaningful Jewish experiences to young adults by supporting leaders in their 20’s as they create vibrant home-based Jewish communities for themselves and their peers. Canada’s first Moishe House is right here in West Side. From monthly Shabbat dinners to sports, BBQ’s and social action projects, Moishe House always has a full schedule of events. Moishe House Vancouver is generously supported by Jewish Federation.
Or Shalom Young Adult Community (O.A.C.)
Schara Tzedeck is the oldest and largest Orthodox Synagogue in Vancouver. Asides from its existing membership, it warmly welcomes in the all visitors and the Jewish community around town. It runs a monthly “Young Professional’s Minyan”, which is a great space for those who want to learn about or participate more in a traditional and explanatory Shabbos service, and get to know young families and singles around the Jewish community.

With events anchored in spiritual exploration and community building, TSNG aims to connect Jewish young adults to each other, the Vancouver community, and Jewish life worldwide. CIJA is a non-partisan, umbrella organization for Jewish community advocacy efforts, directing strategies to improve the quality of Jewish life in Canada and abroad and increase support for Israel.
The Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver
Hillel BC is a proud constituent agency of the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver. The Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver is committed to building a strong, vibrant and enduring Jewish community in the Lower Mainland, in Israel and throughout the world by nurturing the values, practices and traditions which sustain and enrich Judaism and Jewish culture. Federation works in collaboration with many partners locally, nationally and abroad. Our efforts are combined with other Jewish communities in Canada through United Israel Appeal Federations Canada, and in Israel.
Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre
The Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre is a teaching museum and a leader in Holocaust education in British Columbia, reaching over 15,000 students annually. It produces acclaimed exhibits, innovative school programs and teaching materials, including online exhibits.
Chabad of Vancouver Island
Chabad of Vancouver Island is dedicated to serving all Jews on Vancouver Island, regardless of religious background or financial status. Chabad helps to ensure Jewish identity and continuity through a variety of educational, religious, and social services that increase Jewish pride, knowledge, and commitment.
Congregation Emanu-El in Victoria is composed of an eclectic group of 200 families who come together to create a dynamic and spiritual expression of Jewish life. It is a place of love and growth where deep friendships are forged and nourished. We believe in connecting people to one another and to their Jewish roots and traditions, as well as nourishing feelings of community, security and belonging.
Jewish Community Centre of Victoria
The purpose of the Jewish Community Centre (JCCV) is to develop, maintain and operate a Jewish community centre in the City of Victoria; to provide a facility for the education of Jewish children and adults; to provide educational and recreational programming for the surrounding Jewish community and the general public.
Jewish Family Services Vancouver Island
Jewish Family Services of Vancouver Island (JFSVI) is a not-for-profit, social services agency run entirely by volunteers from every part of the Jewish Community. Jewish Family Services Vancouver Island helps people of every age, social and economic background.
Jewish Federation of Victoria and Vancouver Island
The Jewish Federation of Victoria and Vancouver Island (JFVVI) is the umbrella organization for the Jewish community in Victoria and on Vancouver Island. We support organizations, individuals and families both regionally and in Israel with grants, scholarships, and through partnerships with community leaders.
Kolot Mayim Reform Temple
Kolot Mayim Reform Temple is a warm, welcoming congregation of about 100 persons on the southern tip of Vancouver Island in Victoria, British Columbia. Founded in 1997 by a few families meeting monthly in each other’s homes, the Victoria Reform Jewish Congregation has grown to include weekly Kabbalat Shabbat services, a dynamic and engaging Religious School that is held in conjunction with Congregation Emanu-El, and to celebrating Festival, Holiday and Life-Cycle events.
Victoria Society for Humanistic Judaism
The Victoria Society for Humanistic Judaism (VSHJ) provides a home for cultural Jews who want to retain identity with their Jewish heritage, culture and customs within a non-theistic environment. VSHJ is an integral part of the Victoria Jewish Community. We take part in all community events and are represented on the Board of Directors of the Jewish Federation of Victoria & Vancouver Island, the Victoria Jewish Community Centre and the Victoria Jewish Burial Society.
